Jill MackieJill Mackie, from Detroit now lives in Up State New York with her husband (also an artist). Mackie received a Bachelor of Philosophy from Monteith College and a Master of Art in painting from Wayne State University. Jill was asked to come to New York by the Whitney Museum of American Art and was given a studio to work in. She studied renaissance painting and technique which she uses to illuminate her figurative and environmental work. She is a “Master” in every way. |
