Annick Baud

Born in France, Baud was raised in Provence and Paris. Painting was always part of her life. “ In her late teens, she left France to travel extensively, living in Spain, Holland, England, Africa, North America, Central and South America, India, and Nepal, eventually settling in the U.S.

Her inspiration is the play of light in Nature. She says: “Light is what gives shape and color to what we see. Without light there would be nothing for the eye to perceive. Not only does light change throughout the day and according to seasons, it also differs from one point of the globe to another, which makes its study an everlasting and infinite challenge.”
